Sections 10, 14, 16 and 20 were substituted or inserted by the Specific Relief (Amendment) Act 2018 (Act 18 of 2018), brought into force on 1 October 2018. Older notes and question banks still carry the pre-2018 text of s. 10, under which specific performance was discretionary.
