Law of Insurance

Examined on Insurance Act 1938, Marine Insurance Act 1963, Motor Vehicles Act 1988, Employees’ State Insurance Act 1948, Public Liability Insurance Act 1991 (with the 1992 amendments). Taken as amended to 2015. s. 45 is used in its substituted form — no policy may be called in question after three years on any ground, and a challenge within three years must be on fraud or misstatement communicated in writing with reasons (Act 5 of 2015, w.e.f. 26 December 2014). Where the IRDA Act 1999 Schedule differs from the Insurance Act, the Insurance Act governs.
