Terms of use

Raysheo is a study app for students on an Indian law degree. It provides flashcards, practice questions, revision notes, written-answer practice and a study planner, on the web and on mobile.

It is a tool for revising a syllabus. It is not a course, not a coaching class, and not a qualification.

Raysheo is a study aid. It is not legal advice, and it is not a substitute for your prescribed textbook or the bare act.

We take accuracy seriously — every card cites the provision and the case it rests on, so you can check it. Check it. Law changes, cases get overruled, and syllabi are revised. Where we know a statute has been replaced, we say so, but the responsibility for what you write in an exam or advise anyone about is yours.

Do not rely on Raysheo to advise another person on a legal matter. It is not built for that and does not hold itself out as capable of it.

An account is personal to you. Do not share your password, and do not let other people study on your account — the schedule adapts to one person's answers, so sharing makes it worse for both of you as well as breaking these terms.

You are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us if you think someone else has access to it.

You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live.

You may use everything in Raysheo for your own study, for as long as your access lasts. Read it, quote it in your own notes, argue with it.

You may not:

• republish, sell or distribute the content, in whole or in substantial part;
• extract it in bulk, by scraping or otherwise, to build another product or dataset;
• use it to train a machine-learning model;
• remove or obscure the citations and attributions.

Sharing a screenshot with a classmate is fine. Uploading the card set to a Telegram channel is not.

Two different things sit side by side in this app, and they have different status.

Bare Act text and court judgments are public documents. No copyright subsists in them, and we reproduce them so you can read the actual words rather than a paraphrase.

Everything else is ours and is original. The explanations, the plain-language principles, the reasoning behind each rule, the practice questions and their explanations, the model answers and the way the syllabus is organised are written for this app. They are not copied from any textbook, law report headnote or circulating notes.

One unit in every semester is free — unit one of Law of Contract in Semester I. The rest needs Raysheo Plus, which runs monthly, six-monthly (a semester) or annually. Prices include GST.

In the iPhone and Android apps, plans are bought through Apple or Google Play under their own terms: they may start with a free trial and they renew until you cancel in your store settings. On the web you pay once by UPI for the period you choose — it does not renew on its own, and it is not refundable. We never see or store your card or bank details.

We aim to keep Raysheo working, and much of it works without a connection once a subject is downloaded. We do not promise uninterrupted service. Things break, servers restart, and providers have outages.

We may change or remove features. If we remove something you were relying on, we will say so rather than letting you discover it during revision week.

You can stop using Raysheo whenever you like and delete your account from settings.

We may suspend an account that is sharing credentials, extracting content in bulk, or attacking the service. Where it is a misunderstanding we will contact you first.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for exam results, marks, missed deadlines, or decisions taken in reliance on the content. We provide study material; how it is used is outside our control.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

If we change these terms materially we will tell you in the app before the change takes effect, and the date at the top of this page will move.

These terms are governed by the law of India. Courts at Pune, Maharashtra have jurisdiction.
