Law and Medicine

Examined on National Medical Commission Act 2019, Constitution of India, Article 21, Consumer Protection Act 2019; Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita 2023, Transplantation of Human Organs and Tissues Act 1994; Pre-Conception and Pre-Natal Diagnostic Techniques Act 1994. Replaced the Indian Medical Council Act 1956. Indian systems of medicine and homoeopathy are now regulated by national commissions set up in 2020 in place of the old central councils. Some older Acts still define a registered medical practitioner by reference to the repealed 1956 Act.
