Cyber Law exam question: An employee of a payment company,

The question (15 marks)

An employee of a payment company, engaged under a contract of service which obliges her to keep customer records confidential, copies those records to her personal device before resigning and sells them to a competitor. Using a password obtained from those records, a purchaser then poses as the company's officer and induces a customer to transfer money to him. Advise the company and the customer on the civil and criminal consequences under the Information Technology Act, 2000, the investigating agency and the classification of the offences. (15 marks)
