You are to appear for the defence in a mock trial arising out of 'The Cop and the Anthem'. Your client was arrested outside a church, said only 'nothin'' when asked what he was doing there, and was sentenced next morning to three months' imprisonment. Prepare your submission: identify the offence the prosecution must articulate, the evidence available to each side, and the one point on which you will close. (6 marks)
