In a factory employing 400 workers, of whom 35 are women: (a) a woman worker is required to work from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m.; (b) a male worker works eleven hours on a Tuesday and is paid his ordinary rate for all eleven hours; (c) there is no creche; (d) a boy of sixteen, holding a certificate of fitness to work as an adult, is put on the night shift.
