Ravi, a college student, is detained by security guards at a shopping mall for three hours in a back room on suspicion of shoplifting; nothing is found. He was not told he could leave, and the door was locked. Advise Ravi on false imprisonment, and explain what he would additionally have to prove to sue the mall for malicious prosecution if a complaint had been lodged and dismissed. (10 marks)
