The question (12 marks)

An intern in an advocate's chamber writes up the whole of his four-week diary on the last two days from memory, copying two entries from a co-intern who attended the same hearings; he records a client's full name and the facts the client disclosed in conference; he answers a client's question about her chances in a pending matter while the advocate is in court; and he obtains a certificate that says only that he "interned satisfactorily". Identify the defaults and advise him what should have been done in each respect, with the rules that govern the point. (12 marks)

How an answer is marked

A full-marks answer names the issue in one line, states the rule with its section, cites the authority, applies it to these facts and concludes — in that order. The app's model answer for this question is written in exactly that shape, with a checklist to mark your own attempt against.
