The question (12 marks)
In a moot set in a District Court you appear for the appellant. Three things happen. Mid-way through your second submission the bench puts to you a judgment relied on by the respondent which appears to go against you, and which you have read but had not intended to cite. A little later the bench tells you that your third point is taken and that you should move on. With a minute left you have not reached the prayer, and you intend to raise in rebuttal a fresh argument you forgot to make. Advise yourself how to deal with each, and state the consequences of handling them badly. (12 marks)

How an answer is marked
A full-marks answer names the issue in one line, states the rule with its section, cites the authority, applies it to these facts and concludes — in that order. The app's model answer for this question is written in exactly that shape, with a checklist to mark your own attempt against.
