Priya's LL.B. result was declared by her University in Bengaluru on 10 June 2026. She will complete twenty-one years of age on 2 September 2026. In 2024 she was found guilty of a minor offence but released on probation under the Probation of Offenders Act, 1958. She proposes to practise in Mumbai. The Bar Council's counter tells her that enrolment 'charges' are Rs 21,500, made up of the fee, a library fund, a welfare fund and processing charges. She also hears that the enrolment committee is minded to refuse her because of the conviction. Advise Priya on (a) when she may apply and to which Council, (b) whether the conviction bars her, (c) how much she must pay, and (d) whether the committee can refuse her on its own. (10 marks)
