The question (10 marks)
The Bar Council of Maharashtra and Goa referred a complaint against Advocate X to its Disciplinary Committee on 1 June 2025. On 15 August 2026 the Committee, sitting with two of its three members because the third was ill, delivered a final order suspending X from practice for one year. X appealed to the Bar Council of India on the fortieth day and continued to appear in court while the appeal was pending. The Disciplinary Committee of the Bar Council of India, hearing the appeal, dismissed it and, without any prior notice to X, enhanced the suspension to three years. Advise X on each step. (10 marks)

A full-marks answer names the issue in one line, states the rule with its section, cites the authority, applies it to these facts and concludes — in that order. The app's model answer for this question is written in exactly that shape, with a checklist to mark your own attempt against.
